Mavi (Turkish: blue ) is a Turkish fashion label . The company was founded in 1991 by Sait Akarlılar and has grown from its origins as a manufacturer of premium denim for leading international brands to a global retailer. Mavi has 270 retail stores, including flagship stores in the cities of New York , Vancouver, Montreal, Berlin , Frankfurt and Düsseldorf . The company has over 4,000 wholesale customers worldwide and sells its collections in 50 countries, including Germany, USA, Canada, Australia, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. To mark its 20th anniversary, Mavi presented a new store concept called “Mavi Denim Kitchen”, which is being implemented in retail stores and shop-in-shops.
