Mavrovouni (Agnanteris larisas)

Mavrovouni (Agnanteris-Larisas), ( Greek Μαυροβούνι ( n. Sg. )) Is a mountain about 32 km south-east of Larisa . Two peaks rise to 725 m (Mavrovouni) and 716 m (Myteri - Μυτερή).

The surrounding villages are: Agnanteris (Αγναντερή) in the east, Neo Perivoli (Νέον Περιβόλιον) and Kileler in the north, Myra (Μύρα) and Dilophon (Δίλοφον) in the northwest, Skotoussa (Σκοτ Ρήσια) in the south in the south.

The battle of Kynoskephalai (Μάχη των Κυνός Κεφαλών) may have taken place in this area.
