The Max Baumann Society e. V. Berlin is a German association for research and maintenance of the works of the composer Max Baumann . It publishes publications, organizes exhibitions, concerts and symposia and coordinates the edition of Baumann's works.

Research and dissemination of the works

The company was founded in Berlin on September 21, 1999, a few months after Max Baumann's death, and registered as an association on November 17, 1999 at the Charlottenburg District Court . Its non-profit status was declared on December 20, 1999 by the tax office in Parchim . It is administered by a voluntary board of directors. Membership is free and not tied to any particular status. The society is particularly committed to maintaining the instrumental and choral music of Max Baumann. In doing so, she tries to enrich cultural life.

Not all of Baumann's works had been published at the time of his death. So the company has with the help of musicologists a list of works created, so now a list of the works Baumann is more performing and editorial projects available. In a second step, she began to set up and publish the works. In addition, writings and sound carriers were created. The musicologist, composer and professor Adelheid Geck is co-founder and president of the society .
