Almut Tina Schmidt (born June 4, 1971 in Göttingen ) is a German writer and radio play author .

education

Almut Tina Schmidt grew up in Marburg . She studied modern German literary history , philosophy and politics at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg .

Author

Schmidt lives as a freelance writer in Vienna and writes for adults and children. She has published children's books , plays and numerous radio plays. Her texts have been published in literary magazines and anthologies, but she also speaks out in the newspaper.

Schmidt received numerous prizes and grants.

She completed her dissertation on Thomas Strittmatter in 2010.

Reactions

On the reading trip to the book My Name My Grandma Didn't Know For a Long Time , the author came across an interested and curious audience in classes 5b and 5c at the Fürstenberg-Gymnasium s in Donaueschingen in 1999 .

In 2011, the Lüneburg Literature Office attributes a "refreshingly cheeky philosophy of life" to the writer, which is expressed in the short story Wiener Geflecht .

In 2016, Peter Henisch reviewed the novel The Time Shift in the newspaper Die Presse . "From the first pages on, this novel is a reflection on time, the essence of which is to pass, not to be stopped, to have always passed faster than you thought. And to the end it is also a text about the craft and headwork of writing. " he praises the author.
