The Mira Lobe scholarships for young people's and children's literature - named after the children's book author Mira Lobe - are awarded annually to authors with Austrian citizenship or residence in Austria. An application is possible with prose, poetry and theater texts. The scholarship holders are selected by a jury.

The literature department of the Austrian Federal Chancellery provides five six-month working grants, each endowed with a one-off EUR 7,800 (as of 2019).
