Kathrin Steinberger (born May 9, 1982 in Judenburg ) is an Austrian author for children and young people.

biography

Kathrin Steinberger was born on May 9, 1982 in Judenburg, Upper Styria, and lived in Niklasdorf near Leoben during her childhood and school days . From 2000 to 2005 she studied comparative literature and German studies, and from 2002 to 2007 theater, film and media studies. Today she lives in Vienna with her partner and her two daughters.

She wrote her first stories as a school child. During her studies, she found literature for children and young people.

In 2007 Kathrin Steinberger was diagnosed with endometriosis . After two operations, she is now symptom-free and is involved in Austrian self-help work against the disease.
