DIXI children's literature award

The DIXI Children's Literature Award is an Austrian literary advancement award for young talents who write texts for young people or illustrate picture books. Eligible for participation are debutants living in Austria in the field of children's and youth literature.

The prize has been awarded since 2001 in the categories “Author” and “Illustration” (since 2005). He is undoped; the winners receive advice and support from experts such as Heinz Janisch , Martin Auer , Renate Welsh and Lene Mayer-Skumanz .

The prize is organized by the Institute for Youth Literature . He is from the food manufacturer Instantia Nahrungsmittel Entwicklungs- und Produktionsges. mbH and is named after its sugar candy "DIXI".
