Lene Mayer-Skumanz
Lene Mayer-Skumanz (born November 7, 1939 in Vienna ) is an Austrian writer.
Life
After graduating from the St. Ursula High School in Vienna, Lene Mayer-Skumanz studied German and classical philology . She initially worked as a teacher and was the editor of the children's magazine Weite Welt . She has lived as a freelance writer since 1965.
Her focus is on (religious and historical) children's and youth literature. She has also written radio plays , plays and songs (set to music by Father Gottfried Vanoni ). Mayer-Skumanz is married and lives with her family in Vienna.
