Bernadette Schiefer

Bernadette Maria Schiefer (born August 22, 1979 in Vienna ) is an Austrian writer and publisher .

Life

Bernadette Schiefer attended elementary and secondary school in Mank and the Melk Abbey High School . From 1997 she studied philosophy , theology and Romance studies in Vienna and partly in Ireland . In 2004 she became a Magistra of Philosophy. Since 2000 she has written prose , poetry and plays . In 2010 she founded Edition Yara .

Awards

  • 2003: Hans-Weigl scholarship from the state of Lower Austria
  • 2004: Mira Lobe Scholarship
  • 2004: 1st prize in the Litarena literary competition, St. Pölten
  • 2008: 1st prize at the Graz Academy of Literature Prize for the play Disappeared
