Max Ferdinand Alfthan (born February 11, 1892 in Helsinki ; † May 30, 1960 there ) was a Finnish sailor .

Max Alfthan, the member Nyländska Jaktklubben was won in 1912 in Stockholm at the Olympic Games in the 12-meter class bronze medal. He was a crew member of the Heatherbell , which took third place in both races of the regatta and thus ended the competition behind the only two competitors, the Norwegian boat Magda IX from skipper Johan Anker and the Swedish boat Erna Signe from skipper Nils Persson . The Heatherbell crew also included Erik Hartvall , Jarl Hulldén , Sigurd Juslén , Eino Sandelin and Johan Silén . The skipper was Ernst Krogius .
