Max Amann (water sports enthusiast)

Max Amann (born January 19, 1905 in Magdeburg , † December 24, 1945 ) was a German swimmer and water polo player.

At the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 he was Olympic champion with the German water polo team . In 1926 he was third in the European Championship; In 1931 and 1934 Amann was involved in winning the silver medal.

The basis of the German national water polo team was his home club SC Hellas Magdeburg . With the club Amann won the German championship in 1924, 1925, 1926, 1928, 1929, 1930, 1931 and 1933.
