Max Bürger (singer)
Max Bürger (born June 22, 1854 in Leipzig , † October 5, 1902 in Friedrichroda ) was a German opera singer ( tenor ).
Life
Bürger was trained in Leipzig by Robert Wiedemann , in Dresden by Professor Scharfe and in Paris. He began his career in 1875 at the Hoftheater Coburg . He stayed there until 1881. There followed six years at the Hoftheater Braunschweig before he went back to Coburg in 1887, where he was employed until his death. He was a member of the Braunschweig Freemason Lodge Carl zum Crowned Pillar .
