Max Bosshard

Max Bosshard (* 1949 in Zurich ) is a Swiss architect .

Life

Bosshard graduated in architecture from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ) with Aldo Rossi and Dolf Schnebli . After completing his studies, Max Bosshard worked in Aldo Rossi's office in Milan and as a research assistant at the Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture (gta) at the ETHZ. Today he runs an architecture office in Lucerne with Christoph Luchsinger. He is also a lecturer and head of the Urban Landscape Center at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur (ZHAW). In his teaching and research activities, he deals with the areas of urban development, the history of urban development and the morphology of the urban landscape. He is the author of articles on urban development and spatial research. Together with Christoph Luchsinger, he is one of the first in the German-speaking world to address the phenomenon of the expansion of settlement areas into the landscape - a phenomenon that was later discussed under the name Zwischenstadt . He lives in Lucerne.
