Max Chopard
Max Chopard (born November 23, 1929 in Untersiggenthal ; † January 24, 2009 ) was a Swiss politician of the Social Democratic Party .
After his apprenticeship as a radio mechanic and further training as a design engineer, Chopard worked for Swiss television from 1958 to 1992 . From 1965 to 1974 he was a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Aargau , and from 1969 he was a member of the National Council . When he was not re-elected in 1987, he withdrew from politics. His political priorities were social, educational and transport policy.
Chopard was married and had six children. His son Max Chopard-Acklin joined the National Council in 2009.
