Max Joseph Gradl
Max Joseph Gradl (born September 10, 1873 in Dillingen on the Danube , † February 10, 1934 in Landsberg am Lech ) was a German painter, architect, and Art Nouveau type and jewelry designer .
Life
Gradl studied from 1888 to 1892 at the Munich School of Applied Arts with Theodor Spieß . After completing his studies, he lived in Stuttgart from 1901 to 1910, and in 1920 he settled in Schondorf am Ammersee .
From 1899 he designed Art Nouveau jewelery for Theodor Fahrner's jewelery factory in Pforzheim, as well as Art Nouveau characters for type foundries .
As an architect, Gradl u. a. a hipped roof building in Schondorf am Ammersee and a villa in Utting am Ammersee .
