Max Praiseworthy

Max Löblich (born May 5, 1874 in Vienna ; † May 12, 1943 ) was an Austrian railway engineer and director of the Wiener Lokalbahnen.

Life

Max Löblich, son of the coppersmith, kuk purveyor to the court , member of the Viennese municipal council and democratic member of the Reichsrat Franz Löblich studied in Vienna and initially worked for the Südbahngesellschaft, later as a board member of the Wiener Lokalbahnen ("Badnerbahn") company.

Löblich played a decisive role in the full expansion of the line, which was built under the supervision of railway engineer Paul Goetz (Schuckert Werke), as well as in the company's economic success, growth and international cooperation at the beginning of the 20th century.

family

He was married to Maria Gratzer (1879–1977) and the father of two children: Kommerzialrat Maximilian Leopold Löblich and Franz Löblich II.

Max Löblich died in 1943 and is buried at the Weidlinger Friedhof near Vienna in the family grave designed by Robert Oerley .
