Max Lemke
Max Lemke (born April 7, 1895 in Schwedt / Oder ; † May 29, 1985 in Hanover ) was a German officer , most recently major general in World War II .
Life
Lemke served as an officer in the First World War . As commander, he led the 7th Panzer Division of the Wehrmacht in World War II. For the last months of the war until the unconditional surrender he was commander of the Parachute-Panzer Division “1. Hermann Göring ” .
