Max Michallek
Max Michallek (born August 29, 1922 in Dortmund , † June 7, 1985 ) was a German football player .
Career
Michallek, known as "the spider", played at Borussia Dortmund when he was young. With the A-youth of BVB he became Westphalia champion in 1938, where he was the best man with two goals.
He made his debut in the first team of Borussia Dortmund for the first season of the Oberliga West in 1947/48 , where he was mostly active as a center runner until 1960 . On June 10, 1949 he was used in the BVB final of the German championship in Stuttgart, which was lost to VfR Mannheim with 2: 3 after extra time .
His greatest success as a player was winning the German championship in 1956 and 1957 , when he was in the final of Borussia.
Michallek played a total of 292 league games and 22 finals for BVB and scored a total of 20 goals. In addition, he was in nine European Cup games in the Borussia team.
From 1969 to 1973 Michallek was a coaching assistant in Dortmund.
