Max Thayer

Michael "Max" Thayer (born June 18, 1946 in Detroit , Michigan ) is an American actor .

Life

Thayer served a total of three years in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969 . He then joined a street theater group. From the mid-1970s he began to work in film productions, initially under his real name. He took on his first major role in 1977 in Planet of the Dinosaurs . From the 1980s onwards, episode roles in television series such as Benson , Simon & Simon and Dallas increased .

Thayer has often appeared in action or (anti) war films such as The Steel Eagle (1986), Karate Tiger 2 (1987), Phantom Soldiers - Army in the Shadow (1987) and Pearl Harbor . In 1985 he took on a double lead role in the feature film Kommando Doppelgänger . In the 1990s, its cast in films declined noticeably. Between 2006 and 2014 he refrained from acting in films. Most recently, several film roles in short films followed.
