Max Werner (born December 29, 1953 in Hilversum , North Holland ), known at times under the nickname Max Werlerofzoiets , is a Dutch singer and drummer .

biography

Max Werner was singer and drummer for the Dutch progressive rock group Kayak for eight years before releasing his first solo album Rainbows End in 1979 . In 1981 the album Seasons was released . The uncoupled pop single Rain in May became his most popular song. It reached number 2 in the German charts in the fall of 1981 and stayed in the charts for a total of 23 weeks. 1983 Roadrunner was another minor hit of his. In 1995 he released his last solo album, Not the Opera .

In 2000, Max Werner returned to the reformed group Kayak, which had disbanded in 1981, to record the CD Close to the Fire . In the autumn of the same year, however, he had to leave the group again for health reasons.
