Max Wisthaler
Max Wisthaler ( April 16, 1820 in Munich - June 9, 1892 in Darmstadt ) was a German theater actor .
Life
Wisthaler was born in Munich, where he trained for his profession under the direction of the famous comedian Ferdinand Lang . He made his debut on October 1, 1841 as "Masham" in Scribe's Glass of Water at the Hofbühne in Darmstadt and found a lifelong job there.
Because of his natural freshness, his lively game and his beautiful personality, he was very popular with the Darmstadt audience. He excelled in nature boy roles and later also worked in older subjects, namely in humorous father roles, with luck. On October 3, 1881, he celebrated his 40th anniversary as an artist and service. On this occasion he was made an honorary member of the Darmstädter Hofbühne, as which he occasionally appeared in Robert and Bertram , for the last time on February 22, 1884. He died on June 9, 1892.
