Maximilian "Max" Nagl (born August 7, 1987 in Weilheim i.OB ) is a German motocross driver .

Life

He drove his first race at the age of six. From 2008 to 2012 he was a works rider for the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM , from 2013 to 2014 he drove for the HRC Honda works team. In 2015 he moved to the Husqvarna factory team. In 2008 he won his first MX1 World Championship run in Mantova (Italy) . Shortly afterwards, in September 2008, he finished both races in first place at the Grand Prix of Citta di Faenza / Italy and thus won his first Grand Prix. In 2012 he won the team world championship in Lommel (Belgium) for the first time with the German Motocross of Nations team with Ken Roczen and Marcus Schiffer. In the 2015 season, Nagl led the MXGP World Championship for a long time and was considered a favorite for the title until he had to sit out for several events due to an injury at his home race in Teutschenthal.
