action

The Easter season is approaching and the Easter Bunny have their hands full and need to make the hens pressure that they lay more eggs for Easter Bunny King Hopp. After the hens lay the eggs, the rabbits paint them. Among them is Maxwell, heather gray with red glasses and a blue shirt. It is Easter Saturday noon and the rabbits must have enough eggs together to be able to distribute them around town by the morning of Easter Sunday .

After enough Easter eggs have gathered, the rabbits gather in the building of Osterhausen-König Hopp and his assistant Esmeralda. She also kept an eye on Maxwell. Here the rabbit should be chosen that brings the Easter eggs in a basket to the children. As every year, the athletic, boastful star applies for the post that has played the balls every year so far. He wears a black and red robe with a large yellow star on his chest. But Hopp and Esmeralda insist that a colleague applies. Maxwell answers and the rabbits vote for one of the two by knocking on the floor. All rabbits except Esmeralda knock for Star, who is now supposed to deliver the eggs.

Star sets off, but shortly afterwards falls with the eggs into a hole and injures himself, so that Maxwell now has to step in for him. Maxwell moves through the woods towards the city with the eggs in the basket. However, the forest harbors many dangers and noises that at first seem eerie to Maxwell. First he steps into a puddle of mud and loses his bearings. Yet he is brave and moves forward. Finally Esmeralda hops out of the bushes, who now accompanies him from now on.

They come to a fork in the road where the tawny owl Oliver asks them the question of the right way. You pick the wrong one and Maxwell stumbles. He lets the eggs fall into a river and slide down to the waterfall. Esmeralda and Maxwell manage to save the eggs from the waterfall in time.

Esmeralda and Maxwell regain strength and continue their journey through the forest into town. Meanwhile, Star is recovering from his accident. When he learns that Esmeralda left him and is delivering the eggs together with Maxwell, he sets off to follow Maxwell and Esmeralda in order to be able to deliver the eggs himself. But he's not the only one. The raven Sidney is supposed to steal the Easter eggs for the forest king Erk - an ibex . King Erk believes that eating Easter eggs when the moon is full gives him eternal life.

The children in the city are already waiting and doubt whether the rabbit will come. Maxwell and Esmeralda rest in the evening. Maxwell gets something to eat and Esmeralda takes care of the eggs, sings about Maxwell as her Adonis and dreams of marrying him.

Sidney appears and praises Esmeralda for her singing until he can steal the eggs. Oliver can stop him and the eggs land on a tree. Maxwell's attempt. to bring them down on Esmeralda's shoulders fails and Sidney catches them and brings the eggs to King Erk. He calls his subjects together to be able to eat the eggs under the full moon - coincidentally the next night. Esmeralda and Maxwell figure out how to get the eggs back.

The two go to King Erk's cave and Star follows them to bring the eggs into town himself. Maxwell steals the eggs from Erk's lair at night, but Star takes them from him. The Capricorn King lets his subjects pursue him, Star falls and is surrounded. Maxwell and Esmeralda see that he is trapped and want to save him. When King Star takes the eggs, the tawny owl Oliver takes the basket. King Erk lets Sidney fly after him and a competition breaks out. Oliver distracts Sidney and gives the eggs to Maxwell and Esmeralda. The owl shows them the way and Esmeralda goes into town with the eggs while Maxwell still has to save Star.

The Capricorn King has Maxwell pursued, who is hiding. He rescues Star from the pit and together they run after Esmeralda towards the city. Esmeralda was overtaken by King Erk and is standing on a cliff. Star challenges the Capricorn King, who eventually falls down the cliff. Maxwell, Esmeralda and Star have defeated the king and saved the Easter eggs and are on their way to town with Oliver.

They arrive in town at dawn and in order to deliver an egg to each child in time for sunrise, they split up. In this way it is possible to distribute all eggs in time. The next morning the children wake up and happily collect the Easter eggs. The three of them return together and are awarded King Hopp's golden carrot. From now on you decide to share the eggs together every year.
