Maya Maron (born May 12, 1980 in Tel Aviv ) is an Israeli actress .

Life

Maya Maron grew up as the youngest of four siblings in Tel Aviv. Her mother, born in Siberia , worked as an employee, her father, of Polish origin and refugee before the German invasion of Poland in 1939, owns a jewelry store in Tel Aviv. Her parents divorced in 1992 after 24 years of marriage. Maron attended various artistic schools in Tel Aviv. After her draft, she was not drafted for military service in the Israeli army . In 1996 she played a supporting role in the film Saint Clara by director Ari Folman , for which she was nominated for the Israeli Film Awards. After appearing in a short film by Nir Bergman , she excelled in 2002 as "Maya" in his first full-length feature film Broken Wings , which received numerous awards a. a. at the Israeli Film Awards. Maya Maron received the Israeli film prize Ophir Award for best supporting actress for her role as the youngest daughter of the crisis-ridden Ulman family . In the following years she occasionally played in other feature films and TV productions, but also worked in other areas, as the film scene in Israel does not provide many actors with sufficient income.
