The Mayeyi even Mayayi , more rarely Yeyi or Bayei are a clan of the Lozi in Namibia .

The Mashi are among the Caprivians who live in the Zambezi region in the far northeast of the country.

They are led by a king , the Shikati , who has been Boniface Lutibezi Shufu since 1993 . He heads the traditional administration with its headquarters in Sangwali .

The cultural highlight of the Mayeyi is the annual Batshara Batshapi .
