Mbati (also Isongo, Issongo, Lisongo, Lissongo and Songo) is a Bantu language and is spoken by around 60,000 people in the Central African Republic .

It is common in Lobaye Prefecture around Mbaiki .

classification

Mbati forms the Ngundi group with the languages Bomitaba , Bongili , Dibole , Ngundi and Pande . According to the division of Malcolm Guthrie , Mbati belongs to Guthrie Zone C20.

Mbati has the dialects Bolemba, Mbati, Bwaka and Bonzio.
