McCafferty Trail is a rock spur in the Ross Dependency of Antarctica . In the Cook Mountains, it rises 9 km northwest of Mount Ayres on the north side of Butcher Ridge .

The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 2001 after the geophysicist Anne McCafferty of the United States Geological Survey , who was involved in aeromagnetic surveys of the Ross Ice Shelf between 1991 and 1992 and, in collaboration with German scientists, of the Butcher Ridge and the Cook Mountains.
