The McCaslin nunatak is an isolated nunatak in Marie Byrd Land, West Antarctica . In the Transantarctic Mountains it rises 8 km south of the western end of the Bender Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1963.The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1967 after James C. McCaslin, a member of an air unit of the United States Army for support of the work of the USGS between 1962 and 1963.
