The Bender Mountains are a small group of mountains in Marie Byrd Land, West Antarctica . They rise not far from the Leverett Glacier immediately east of the Harold Byrd Mountains and 6 km southwest of the Berry Peaks between the Watson Escarpment and the southeastern edge of the Ross Ice Shelf .
The United States Geological Survey mapped them using their own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them after Lieutenant Commander Leslie C. Bender Jr. (1927-2015), aircraft commander on the McMurdo station from 1962 to 1963 and from 1963 to 1964.
