An American McChicken

The McChicken is a variant of the Chickenburger . It is produced and sold by the fast food chain McDonald’s . It is one of the most sold burgers in the restaurant chain and is sold in numerous countries.

history

The story in the USA is not very successful for McChicken at first. After it made its way onto the McDonald's menu in the 1980s, it was replaced by the Chicken McNuggets due to a lack of sales . Due to the success of the chicken nuggets, it was reinstated in the menu in 1988, but was finally removed again in 1996. After numerous petitions and letters, the McChicken was reintroduced in 1998 and has therefore been an integral part of the McDonald's range.

The burger that is sold in the United States weighs 144 g and is smaller than the one sold in German-speaking countries .
