Nicola Happel (born December 1, 1992 in Gießen ) is a German basketball player and trainer. She plays in the position of guard and is a junior ambassador for the German Olympic Sports Confederation.

Life

Nicola Happel attended the August Hermann Francke School in Gießen and was awarded the School Sports Prize of the State of Hesse there in 2012.

Basketball career

In 2008, the then 16-year-old Nicola Happel was deployed to the second division side Bender Baskets Grünberg . In the same year she became German champion with the U16 of the parent club TSV Grünberg . She was able to win two more championship titles in 2009 and 2011 with the youth teams U18 and U19 of her home club TSV Grünberg.

In the seasons 2011/2012 to 2013/2014 Nicola Happel played as a double licensed player not only for the second division club Bender Baskets Grünberg, but also in the 1st women's basketball league at BC Marburg . In 2012 she took 3rd place in the championship with BC Marburg. In the 2013/2014 season she was injured and was only able to intervene in the game again in 2014/2015 at the home club Bender Baskets Grünberg. In 2015 she switched to Rhöndorfer TV , where she helped out in the regional league team. For the 2015/2016 season, she signed with the second division Opladen.
