The McNaughton Ridges are a series of mountain ridges in the East Antarctic Enderbyland . They rise 21 km northeast of Simpson Peak in the Scott Mountains .

They were mapped using aerial photographs taken in 1956 and 1957 as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions . The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named the mountains after the Australian physicist Ian LK McNaughton, who worked at Mawson Station in 1961 .
