The McQuesten River is a right tributary of the Stewart River in Canada's Yukon Territory .

The McQuesten River arises at the confluence of its two headwaters, North McQuesten River and South McQuesten River in the east of the Ogilvie Mountains . It flows in a predominantly southwestern direction before flowing into the Stewart River. The McQuesten River has a length of approximately 80 km. It drains an area of ​​approx. 2870 km². The mean discharge near the mouth is 37 m³ / s.

The McQuesten River is used for whitewater canoe tours.

The South McQuesten River has its origin in McQuesten Lake , while the North McQuesten River has its source further north in the Ogilvie Mountains.

Rivers and lakes were named after the explorer Jack McQuesten .
