Mečislovas Zasčiurinskas

Mečislovas Zasčiurinskas (born March 3, 1946 in Kaunas ) is a Lithuanian politician and volleyball player.

Life

After graduating from secondary school in Kaunas in 1963, Zasčiurinskas graduated from the Kauno politechnikos institutas with a degree in electrical engineering in 1969 and economics in 1981. In 2005 he learned at the Lietuvos viešojo administravimo institutas.

Zasčiurinskas was at Kauno politechnikos institutas, planning committee of the municipality of Kaunas , at “Kapitalinės statybos”, adviser to the Kaunas board. From 2004 to 2006 he was Deputy Minister at the Lithuanian Ministry of Social Affairs and from 2006 director of “Socialiniai projektai”. From 2008 to 2016 he was a member of the Seimas .

Zasčiurinskas was the vice-chairman of the Darbo partija .

Zasčiurinskas was a member of the national volleyball team .
