Meang , also called Telikiai , is the second largest island in the Nui Atoll in the Pacific island nation of Tuvalu .
The island is located in the north of the atoll and extends in a north-south direction. It is about 1.5 km long and about 1 km wide at its widest point. Between Meang and the southernmost island of Fenua Tapu , the west side of the atoll is open to the sea, all other islands of the atoll are on its east side. The island of Tokinivae connects almost immediately to the south and east .
