Catharina Clas

Catharina Clas (born July 30, 1982 in Prien am Chiemsee ) is a German author for children and young people.

Life

After Catharina Clas graduated from high school in Mellrichstadt , Lower Franconia , in 2002, she began studying sinology at the Julius Maximilians University in Würzburg and at the European Center for Chinese Studies at Peking University , where she completed a semester abroad in 2004. In 2005 she completed her studies with a Bachelor of Arts.

Clas initially worked as a sales and team assistant and later as an office manager at companies in Munich and London . Catharina Clas then returned to her homeland in Lower Franconia and started her own business in 2012.

The first stories and draft novels have been written since 2006. Although books have been an integral part of her life since childhood, writing was initially just a hobby. Six years later she finally made this a profession. Her first children's book Anton from Amselgasse was published in 2013 by Papierfresserchens MTM Verlag . In 2014 she contributed to the anthology Still 24 Stories Until Christmas published by Thienemann-Esslinger Verlag. In 2015 and 2016, the youth novels Wir Two Forever and The One Other followed by bloomoon Verlag .

Catharina Clas lives in Ostheim before the Rhön.
