Mechit Buttress (English, Bulgarian рид Мечит rid Metschit ) is a mountain comb-like, the icy and 1800 m high mountain on the Danco Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 4.65 km southeast of The Downfall and 2.9 km south of Bacho Kiro Peak between the Moser , Woodbury and Montgolfier glaciers . It is connected to the Forbidden Plateau to the southeast by a saddle .
British scientists mapped it in 1980. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2012 after a mountain in the Rila Mountains in Bulgaria .
