The Montgolfier Glacier is a glacier on the Danco coast of Graham Land in the north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows between the Rozier and Woodbury glaciers to Piccard Cove , a side bay of Wilhelmina Bay .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped it using aerial photographs from Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. from 1956 to 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it on September 23, 1960 after the Montgolfier brothers , who had carried out the first manned ascent with a hot air balloon in 1783 .
