The Mecklenburg Bahn GmbH (MEBA) was a German railway company .

history

It was founded on July 11, 2000 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the local public transport company Schwerin GmbH . From June 10, 2001, MEBA operated passenger traffic on the 80 km long railway line Rehna - Gadebusch - Schwerin - Crivitz - Parchim .

In May 2005, MEBA merged with the Ostmecklenburgischen Eisenbahn (OME) to form Ostseeland Verkehr GmbH , which operated the route mentioned until December 2013. At the new company based in Schwerin who held Veolia Verkehr GmbH (formerly Connex) 70% and the transport Schwerin GmbH 30% stake.
