The medal “30. Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 " ( Russian Юбилейная медаль" Тридцать лет Победы в Великой Отечественной войне 1941-1945 гг. » ) Was an award of the former Soviet Union , which on 25 April 1975 to mark the 30th anniversary of the Victory was donated in one step in the Patriotic War against Hitler Germany . The medal was mainly awarded to all military and civilian persons who participated in the Soviet armed forces in the victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The 36 mm by measuring gold medal from brass displays on its obverse the mother-native statue in Wolgograd front of a fireworks. To the left of it you can see a laurel branch, a Soviet star and the years 1945-1975 . The reverse of the medal, however, shows the seven-line inscription: XXX0 / лет / Победы / в Великой / Отечественной / войне / 1941–1945 гг. (30 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945) and a waving ribbon with hammer and sickle underneath . The upper semicircle of the medal is determined by the inscription: УЧАСТНИКУ войны (the war participant). The medal was worn on the left side of the chest of the borrower on a pentagonal red clasp, the edge of which is orange. In addition, the vertical middle stripes black and orange are woven into the left side of the band and another gray one on the right. The interim clasp is of the same quality. 14,259,560 medals were awarded.
