Medal for the victory at Brienne

The medal for the victory at Brienne was donated on February 8, 1814 by King Friedrich I of Württemberg and could be awarded to all soldiers of the royal troops who took part in the victorious battle of La Rothière on February 1, 1814 against France .

The round medal , made of gold for officers and silver for NCOs and enlisted men , shows the four-line inscription For the victory on 1. “Febr.1814, surrounded by a laurel wreath . Under the inscription the crowned and entwined letters FR (Friedrich Rex). The four-line inscription King and Fatherland the Brave was also enclosed by a laurel wreath on the reverse .

The award was worn on the ribbon on the left side of the chest.
