The Medea Dome is a 350 m high ice dome on the Oskar II coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises at the eastern end of the Philippi Rise near the base of the Jason Peninsula .
It was geodetically measured in 1953 by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1956 after Medea , a female figure in Greek mythology .
