Media lioness

Medienlöwin ( own spelling MedienLÖWIN ) is an annual Austrian journalism award . Since 2006, the MedienLÖWIN journalist award has been awarded annually by the Austrian Congress of Women Journalists, supported by OMV , the Federation of Industry , and club alpha.

The lioness in silver is for journalists and is intended to motivate them to critically deal with the life situations of women or to encourage media users to realize their personal life plans independently. The lioness in gold is for media women who, through their role model function, through their life's work and through their presence, encourage women to assert themselves in the media sector.
