Meerbude

Sea shacks on the Little Sea

In East Frisian vernacular , the term Meerbude refers to small weekend and holiday homes made of processed wood , which are located on the shores of the East Frisian inland lakes , which are called seas in East Frisia , such as the Uphuser Sea or the Little Sea .

However, many of the sea shacks are not located directly on the lakes, but on the banks of the canals in front of the seas.
