history

Megalith Records was founded in 2002 by Robert "Bucket" Hingley from The Toasters , among other things to have reliable international marketing for their own albums. The first release was a sampler (“Still Standing”, MEGA 001), the first album was a re-release of the Toasters classic “Skaboom!” From 1987 (MEGA 002). The range of bands was continuously expanded in the following years, musically they stayed true to the different varieties of Ska. For global presence there are collaborations with various other labels, such as Leech Redda (Switzerland), Skanky'Lil Records (Belgium) or Moon Ska World (UK); Megalith works with Broken Silence for sales in Germany .
