The Sunberig megalithic complex is located directly on the dike west of Utersum , a village on the island of Föhr , in the district of North Friesland in Schleswig-Holstein . It is a box-like dolmen from the Stone Age.
The grave was opened in 1895 by the teacher Heinrich Philippsen in consultation with the State Museum . A thin stone ax , remains of bones and the ashes of a death fire were found.

The chamber
The burial chamber lies in a now barely visible hill and is oriented in a north-west-south-east direction. The long sides consist of two horizontal supporting stones, which identifies the complex as an ancient dolmen . The north-western end of a narrow beam, opposite is a stone slab in front of the entrance. A large, flat capstone is placed on the northwest end, the rest of another capstone has been rolled off. The chamber is only about 1.8 mx 0.6 m.
