Megan Marie Jurado (born February 25, 1991 in San José , California ) is a Filipino - American football player .
Life
Jurado attended Piedmont Hills High School in San Jose , California for four years before enrolling at San Diego State University in the fall of 2009 .
Career
societies
Jurado started her career in the youth of Pleasanton Rage and from June 2004 to 2008 for FC Fremont. Between 2005 and 2008 she also played in the local national team of the Cal North regional team. In the fall of 2004, she enrolled at Piedmont Hills High School, where she won the NCS 3A championship in the first year. In her sophomore year she was BVAL's Freshman of the Year and second in the Most Valuable Player Choice. In her third year, the league coaches named her Co-Junior of the Year and her senior year of high school as the League MVP. She scored 96 goals in her four years in high school for the Pirates. In her honor, her shirt number 19 was protected by the Women Soccer Team of the Pirates 2010 and will never be awarded again. In September 2009, she enrolled for her degree at San Diego State University and played for the university's women's soccer team, the Aztecs. In her senior year at university, she was elected to the 2012 Soccer America MVP's second team.
National team
Jurado went through all youth teams from U-14 to U-17 for the USA. After she received no further attention for the U-20, the Philippine Football Association asked her and she switched to the Philippine national football team for women .
