The Philippine women's national soccer team represents the Philippines in international women's soccer . The national team is subordinate to the Football Association of the Philippines and is coached by Joel F. Villarino. The selection took part in nine of the previous Asian Cups, with the 1981 and 1983 games not being considered by FIFA. The team was never able to place itself among the first two teams in a preliminary group. The Philippines has not yet participated in a World Cup or the Olympic Games. The team had the greatest chance to qualify for a World Cup in April 2018, but then lost the game for the fifth Asian starting place with 0: 5 against South Korea .
