The 14th Asian Women's Football Championship was a women's football tournament organized by the Asian Football Confederation and was held in Thailand from June 8 to 21, 2003 . The tournament was originally supposed to take place in April 2003, but was postponed due to the SARS crisis. The winner was North Korea for the second time in a row .

mode

There were no qualifiers for this tournament. The fourteen teams were divided into groups of four and two groups of five. Within the preliminary round groups, each team plays each other once. The group winners and the group runner-up with the best points reach the semi-finals. The semi-final winners reach the final, the semi-final losers play for third place.

The four semi-finalists will also qualify for the 2003 Women's World Cup .
