Mehdi Tewfik Taouil ( Arabic مهدي طويل; * May 20, 1983 in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges ) is a Moroccan football player on the position of midfielder .

Career

society

The Moroccan, who also has a French passport, moved shortly after the start of the 2003/04 season from the second French division of AS Nancy , where he had played for five years in the youth boarding school, to the amateurs of 1. FC Nürnberg . His home club was FC Draveil.

After just four weeks he was training with the first team and finally came to his first league game on November 2 in Trier , where he - substituted in the 88th minute and barely on the field - skillfully accepted a cross and let his opponent get out and unselfishly hung up for Jacek Krzynówek , who then produced the 2-0 final score.

He might have won earlier if he hadn't been absent from the Moroccan Olympic team's qualifying games.

Overall, he brought it in the second division 2003/04 season on six missions, but only as a substitute.

In 2005 he moved to HSC Montpellier in France , in 2007 to the Scottish first division club FC Kilmarnock , for which he played until 2011. Since then he's been playing for Heart of Midlothian .

In the summer of 2013 Touil moved to Sivasspor in the Turkish Süper Lig . Here he played for the next three seasons.

National team

Taouil made his debut for the Moroccan national team in 2004 .
